There are multiple ways to catch the attention of your website visitors, and using images or photography is a useful visual technique. According to many designers’ experience, images often express more than words. When choosing images for your landing page design, you may try a human face with a happy smile to show visitors you’re a passionate real person. Such delightful design also helps you leave a positive impact on visitor’s first impression of trustworthiness.

2.   Generate positive feelings with the right colors

Color is one of the suggestive directional cues to energize your potential customers.  It has a very strong effect on users to create an emotional response. For example, orange is known to evoke warm, friendly and inviting feelings and is a good choice for the color of Call to Action buttons. Therefore, when designing a lading page, a basic understanding of color theory counts much. Another important element is the contrasting effect of color. You may use contrasting colors for your primary conversion target to make it stand out from the surroundings.

3.    Guide visitors’ eyes with attractive Call to Action

To grab visitors’ attention and boost your conversion rates, a well-designed Call to Action is indispensable. An attractive call to action directs the potential customer to the information you want them to see. And it asks and compels users to take a specific action. Engaging visitors with eye flow or visual movement will make your important web content highlighted. To create eye movement, arrow works well. This directional pointer defines a path for the visitor to follow and forces them to ignore everything else and pay attention to the desired vital element in your landing page. Like the example of Let’s Do This, the designer uses arrows to guide your eyes to the Call to Action “Donate” button.

5.   Persuade potential customers with killer headline

Every compelling story begins with a power headline, which emphasizes the message of your web page. A headline aims to letting visitors know that they’re in the right place and convincing them to stick around on the website. It offers a big opportunity for improvements in conversion rate. Thus you should design a catchy headline by choosing eye- catchy typography and keeping it short and direct. What’s more, don’t forget to place you headline at the top of the landing page.
