It has long been said that travel “broadens the mind”. And for me, travel makes me happier than possessions. Most time, when I am planning a new adventure, I will dedicate in searching destination/places through websites, which attractive me in descriptions as well as pictures. I find that travel related website tend to be more creative than others because of their unique topic. Whether they are representing the beautiful scenery, or setting the atmosphere of a destination, the web design’s style is usually far from ordinary.
Since I am planning my next adventure this time, I have been looking at loads of travel related websites recently. Most of them are nifty and catch my attention. And also, they have given me some inspiration in my design work. Hope you can also get some inspirations from the beautiful layouts and natural scenery.
Brookside Resort is just 3 blocks from downtown Gatlinburg but when you’re on the property, it feels like you’re miles away from anything but peaceful relaxation. The unique color and design of wood background are interpretation of wonderful amenities, just like you are at home. The random display of pictures tells you that Brookside Resort is full of happiness and freedom. Maybe the relax atmosphere brings web designer the feelings of family and love, so I went through the website with a light heart.
2. Xitang
Xi Tang is a living ancient Chinese town, which is level, densely distributed with rivers and has a very quiet natural environment. Through a bird’s-eye view of the whole town, green waves ripple everywhere and every family resides near water. The web designer use Chinese monochromes to express the whole old town, which like a poem and a picture. Although the designer use simple color as background, what I feel from it are pinkish walls, stylish bridges, slantwise sun shine and the fragrance of wine drifts. The whole website drives me to go there and experience the earthly paradise.
Ireland, perched on the northwest tip of Europe, is the one place in the world where even time getting lost will be worthwhile…it is full of ancient myths and legends to uncover. The whole website layout is pure and clean, just like the amazing landscape. Green is grass’s color while blue is sky’s. The simple tinting makes people thinking about nature. After go through the website, I have a feeling, that is, if I go there sometime, I’ll return home with memories that will last a lifetime.
4. Fiji Travel
Set in the tropical South Pacific, Fiji, is an island of White sandy beaches, swaying coconut trees, pristine oceans and waterways. Fiji, has an unique and precious asset- smiling and generous. Special geographic environment, hot weather and island life make people in Fiji are full of passion and happiness. The web designer uses the local elements and beautiful smile to express the unique Fiji.
Windrock Lodge is a 1,800-square-foot cabin located on three wooded acres at the foot of Windrock Mountain. In order to express the unique feature of Windrock, the website background are woodsiness. Just like Brookside Resort, the woodsiness background brings people feelings of home and warmth. Maybe, home feelings and warmth are the main conception of Windrock.
The whole design is full of pleasure and romontic. Even I haven’t went there, I am deeply attracted by the Fairy Tales. The blue sky, colorful fire balloon, cartoon buildings and green land, are harmonious in the picture. When you move the mouse to left or right, the picture will also move. Just like wander my passion in a trail to explore an historic town square, an idyllic nature or a trek to one of the Volunteer State’s inimitable distilleries.
7. Go Hawii
The fresh, floral air energizes you. The warm, tranquil waters refresh you. The breathtaking, natural beauty renews you. Look around. There’s no place on earth like Hawaii. Whether you’re a new visitor or returning, the six unique islands offer distinct experiences that will entice any traveler. The designer creates this website with seas, mountains, and infectious colors, which makes Hawaii is Adventurer’s paradise.
8. Vacation in Supetarska Draga
The web designer use pure background, profusion color, and simple designs to mark the locations. Make us dream about perfect retreat on one of the most beautiful Adriatic islands. According the design, I could image the joyful moment of swimming, tanning or simply enjoying sunsets
From the above beautiful websites, I found that most travel website use large-scale professional photographs as website background. It is really a most straight-forward way to convince a visitor of the destinations or service’s appeal. When use the big and attractive pictures, most good web designer pay much attention on applying some effects and filters to photos to achieve the best visual impact.
